Mic comes with wind screen and has software to make it sound full and rich to person on other end (really rare) Mute and Volume buttons on headset and sound card. Build quality I can only describe as 'Executive' Sound Blaster software is customization and very impactful in use.

Works flawlessly with PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 Even has a 3.5mm/optical in multiport for any audio input. THX and Dolby professionally decoded into 7.2. Quad-core sound card deserves awards all on its owns. You simply cannot sneak up on someone with scout mode.
If it comes from 135 degrees to your left in the movie/game you will here it from exactly that direction. treble is clear and not tingy, mids are strong and lows are powerful. THX certification makes a huge play in the Bass which is rich, full, deep and loud.
Sound you have never heard from headphones unless you are a DJ Yes I play games, yes the 3d and THX are nice, but in my opinion I'd rather give up some audio quality for the ability to easily turn the unit on and off, have a visual indicator that the mute (on the headset) is on, and better buttons. Overall Review: I love how these feel, but I wouldn't make this purchase again. When you spend that kind of dough you expect the sound to be studio quality (which it is close to) and it to be very usable (which it is not) I know I seem like I'm being very picky here but I wanted the best-of-the-best when it came to sound and comfort so I purchased what I consider to be the most feature-rich highest quality headsets I could find. This is 2014 folks, I know we can get a better battery status. I find myself running back to the office to jack into the charger. When I'm on Skype calls for work sometimes I'm walking around the house and not actually at the PC. However this comes about 20-30 seconds before the unit actually shuts down. When the battery gets low, which I admit is 8+ hours into a session, I do (finally) get an audio indicator. Why do I have to hold it down for 5+ seconds to turn the headset on and off? It's not a PC, it can (probably) survive an instant off. I often find myself taking the headset off to look at the red light on the button which is not visible when wearing it.Ĥ. I expect either an audio "beep" or visual clue when I finally find and press the "mute" button. While wearing the headset it is difficult to press any of the buttons on the headset themselves, and when you do there is no positive reinforcement that a button was pressed. Why on earth does the transmitter have to have a removable cartridge?ģ. Because they are multi-platform they may be overly complicated. I chalk this up to the fact that it does come with decent software for managing the sound as well as being designed for multiple platforms.Ģ. I paid right around $200 which I feel is about 50$-60$ more than the quality deserves. Wearing these for extended hours isn't a problem at all - they are that comfortable.Ĭons: The downside to these guys may unfortunately outweigh the pros.ġ. Since my days are spent telecommuting I use the headset for calls during the day then for games in the evening. The sound combined with the software make playing games a treat. After using these for about two months I can definitely say that the audio quality is absolutely superb. Pros: I got these for myself for Christmas as my old logictech clearchat headphones were getting pretty long in the tooth.
